Exiting the interstate I saw huge buildings and numerous people from all different walks of life.  We had just entered Atlanta. Filled with fear and excitement, I felt prepared and ready to be used by God. But what I didn’t expect was an actual opportunity to share the gospel.

After we had been in Atlanta for a day, we began a ministry of handing out lunches in a mobile-home park. While we were there we had the opportunity to play soccer with some Hispanic kids. It was during this game of soccer that a conversation sparked which led to myself being able to share the gospel. The teen that I was able to share with was named Gustavo. Gustavo was from Mexico and was just asking me questions about why I acted different from all his other friends who swore, and didn’t treat him nicely. I simply told him that it was because I have God in my life. It turned out that he went to church and recited prayers before bed, but he didn’t have a true relationship. Talking with him about the gospel allowed him to understand more and begin a true relationship with Christ. In departure I gave him my phone number and also encouraged him to pray and read the bible, specifically the book of Mathew.  As we said our final fare well I said, “Gustavo I’m praying for you, and don’t let anyone discourage you because of your faith.”  With that my trip to Atlanta came to a close.vI will always hold those dear people deep down in my heart.
