On June 28, God blessed us and gave us the opportunity to meet a man, (Keith) Douglas. After we had finished helping out with the Vacation Bible School, we came back to base and did an ATL (Ask the Lord). After praying for several minutes, Alicia, one of our youth leaders, saw the word Grady. We decided to go on a prayer walk and see where God would lead us. As we were walking out of the church we happened upon Keith. He looked distressed and asked us for our help in finding Grady Hospital. We instantly made the connection between the ATL and Keith. To our surprise, Keith was blind. We couldn't simply give him directions, we had to guide him by the arm and walk him to Grady hospital. Once we got there, he told us how he had brain surgery and how he had chest pain and accidently left his identification and bank card there. Since he was blind, we had to walk him up to the floor and room he had previously been staying in. Since we were there at the hospital, he also had to pick up his medication. While waiting for the medicine, we had the opportunity to talk to Keith about his faith in God. He also mentioned to us how he was having family troubles. We prayed with him and to our surprise he was excellent at talking to God. His medications came and we then walked him outside of the hospital and talked to him more. We prayed for him once more and to our surprise, one of his family members called. We were specifically praying for the family troubles to be resolved. To our delight, it worked! We searched everywhere in the city for somewhere that we could place Keith where we knew he was safe. We tried a shelter, but no luck there. We then decided to walk down to the Atlanta Medical Center ( to our surprise, a few miles away). By the time we got there, he was having more chest pains. He was then taken into the doctors' care and was extremely grateful for our help. We then said our farewells and gave him our contact information. We have not heard from as of now, but we are keeping him in our prayers.
